Beware of the Big Banks
Beware of the Big Banks
By Elton Camp
From big banks you must expect things like these:
Loan refusals, interest jumps and increasing fees
Apparently, it has become too much to expect
That banks for their customers show respect
“We encouraged you to take a variable rate loan
You should’ve refused & so your house is gone.”
“You now have thirty days in which to vacate
Or we will be taking an action that you’ll hate.”
“So you have money to invest in the bank CDs?
We will pay you just as little interest as we please.”
“You think your checking account should be free?
About such a ridiculous thought we will just see.”
While our debit card we encouraged you to take
We see not to charge a large fee was a mistake.”
“And for our bank’s most wonderful credit card
An annual charge shouldn’t be really all that hard.”
“You actually want to speak to a real human teller?
Then expect to pay us for your access to that feller.”
Community banks and credit unions are on the rise
To the greedy big banks that should be no surprise
