Better In Candlelight
( BETTER IN CANDLELIGHT )
Soft candlelight is gently burning,
the shadows dance across the wall.
The world slowly stops its turning,
all will answer when candles call.
The tiny flame flickers bright,
your skin aglow with sweat and love.
Your mind is drunk on the scents of night,
the air grows still, stars watch from above.
Blazing on live fire and ice,
sleeping past when the rising sun.
Breaks the night, our sacrifice,
and with a puff, the candle's done.
Smokey room and daylight glow,
we share a secret no one knows.
To fall in love is not a crime,
the candle burns a million times.
