Benefit of the Doubt

8/12/16 Little by little Bodies of water start to trickle Because of there being no drizzle And the sun continuing to sizzle Droughts Making it difficult for plants to sprout Give others the benefit of the doubt And next thing you know they want to take you out Good riddance Forget those that just want to nitpick And stick their noses in other's business Make some moves Underneath the sun and moon During midnight, morning, evening and the afternoon Try to improve Keep on your feet Make sure you and the ones each get to eat No respect to those that need to cheat And only display greed like creeps Take some risks And use your gifts While navigating, hills, straight paths, and twists Among so many atoms Make it happen Regardless of the success and famine For heaven's sake Some just want to hate And continue being fake I just can not relate By: Dalton Ogletree
