Benched
What do you do when you're left sitting on a bench
Never allowed to play in the game
They say you're one of the team
It's hard to believe when your on a bench
Bench warmer
The nickname you dread
You've sat here for so long
No one knows this bench as well as you
The peeled paint
The warped boards
Ancient gum stuck underneath
Others have sat here but not for so long
This bench was never part of your dream
Still this is closer than many will come
In the end it will not be enough
just a guy sitting on a bench
On a bench contest.
