Below Freezing
The chill of reality
has settled it's rime
upon my tender flesh
and the temperature
is below freezing tonight
I'm searching for a human quilt
to help liquify
these winter feelings
into summer rain,
but there's no one around
just cold stone
and the heartbeat of my pen
slowly icing over
