(Anacreontic Verse)
He smiles and he
reaches for me
I slide my hand
into his cold one
and he lifts it
to his lips
beautiful dead lips
we are lost
in our universe
and we drift
his sweet kiss
like no other
I am floating
then it is over
and he fades away
I am weeping
it is a dream
a breeze touches me
it is dark here
at his tomb
in memory of
my beloved
engraved in stone
something glitters
and I move closer
a perfect rose
wet with tears
his dead tears
I kiss the petals
