Belong To the Waters, and Cry To the Tides
We walk on the earth, solid as rock
We feel at home in water, but
Also on land no one
Sees the ground rippling
No one hears its’ waves
Crash on the shores
I watch as the waters
Cut the rock,
And see it’s slow to kill
As I watch the
Waters, I begin to see
I belong to the waters
So incredibly rough
So incredibly calm,
So I still walk through
The waters
But I now cry to the tides,
The tides that pull
At my heart strings
Ripping out the
Pathetic whines.
I see the waters
Crashing on the shores
But still
I admit I belong to
The waters, and cry to the tides
I hear the waters singing
A song oceanic in size
Watch as the symphony
Makes me cry.
So here I am standing on
What I believe
To hold the ties
Ties to the waters
And ties to the
Tides.
