Jaymee, You covered a grand array of bells. I felt I was there in all of these places. I especially love the imagery of the sea! Congratulations on your top win! ~ Kim

Thank you so much, Kim. I should also thank you for the prompt - it would have never occurred to me to write about bells on my own, so I appreciate the specificity, which is its own kind of freedom. So much of your writing is really lovely as well - I wanted to take a minute and say that outright :) thanks again!

Thank you, Regina. It is very thoughtful of you to comment. I did just adore your contest entry, The Unkindness of Ravens. It was a such an apt and original tribute to Poe while still in keeping with the tone he takes in much of his work. Very, very well done.

Thank you, Linda! I really did try to take a specific approach to the prompt and explore the way that bells show up in our day to day lives.

Jaymee, this is so beautiful like the sweet chime of ceremonial bells heard now and then, slightly disturbing the serene calm, but adding melody and music to the occasion. Beautiful diction and great imagination. I am sure this will be placed high. All the Best.

Thank you, Valsa. That is exactly the sentiment I was going for. I am delighted you connected with it in that way. And thank you for taking the time to comment on it :)
