Believer

From time to time, our life is troubled, the path it seems, is always doubled. We never know why, the burden is great, is it a test, or just our fate. He wants his people, to be so strong, sometimes it last, our whole life long. We are tried by fire, to prepare for heaven, his spirit is with, us a perfect seven, To be a believer, is not to be week, he builds us up, through loves critique. At times its hard, so remember this thought, he works on us all, through all that is brought.

I like how you used the number seven as number of perfection. It's my Destiny number in numerology! a great number, except I usually follow more my path number "fun" five!! I hope to see more of your inspiring poetry in the new year, John.

Sometimes the bitter path teaches things we could experience no other way - at least it did me. I feel so at home with what you write as your words speak to me is such a special way.

oooo! hello John, here is one i have not read... i like to think life is a wall we can leap over..or tumble on... it all depends how strong is our faith... I'm that kind of person you can't make a believer out of me...until i feel or experience... truly you have a strong sense of writing.. no nonsense like me... i did read your comment on DAN..beer poem.... now, I'm wondering if you would ever compose one...lol... just a thought... have a nice one,, always,..p.d.

It is so true. So many times, people question why Lord? They don't realize any of the "pain" we go through is nothing like the torment he experienced for us all. Great job again, my friend.

John this has to be my favourite ,superb poem. A great message. I try to be strong for all the things that life is bringing me right now. Hard to do. You asked about Jack ,and how it came to be.Looked at it, and the words just came to me. Anne.
