Beleagured

A savior is needed to pull me from this black void Extricate me from this quicksand And give me back a little joy I know I want a helping hand A place to hide And someone by my side But when the day is over There's no one left but me Despite the promise of you All I want to do is leave If I only knew A way I could find Some solace for my mind I wish you would come And shelter me safe from the storm The raging waves and wind You could keep me close and warm To help me brave through to the end But I'm battling it alone Against all that's unknown
