Being Pushed To the Edge
She was standing so close yet so far
She was so confident that she'd never shed another tear
Perhaps she was over confident
That she forgot and lost her foot
The world around her was spinning
And so she spun along with it
It was too long
Yet its like time had come to a stand still
They say time is supposed to heal
But to her the wounds were still fresh
Its just like it happened yesterday
The feeling so toxic that it chocked her
The tears were unwilling to sooth her anymore
For she had become undesirable
She was breaking piece by piece
And slowly she was crumbling
Going back to where she came from
Just like they say
And we shall return back to the soil
And each one of us say Amen
She died a dead log
Wasted and an unexplained being
It was so saddening
None of us could hold their tears back
And the spades scooped simultaneously
As though rhythmically entwined
We all sang with sadness blanketing above us
And with that she was gone
Her pains and sorrows
Buried along with her
Her death remained a history
To be taken down to the young ones
She was no hero
Yet she evoked sympathy from people's hearts
Her death was no accident
She was killed by you and me
