Behind The Shadows

He has been hiding behind the shadows staring at the world with his thick lenses; He has been hiding behind the shadows with the mirror staring back at him while his spirit composes a silent hymn. He occupies an office that is bigger than the sports gym and sits at a table that is longer than the altar in the sanctuary and his guest is sitting at the other end fifty meters away from him. I could make a three-bedroom flat out of his office space and still have room left to place my bed. He sits alone in that morbid chair watching the people walking around the square, and the symphony of death blaze in his eyes spilling heat in the air and lightening up the street. His muscles get stiff his face turned red and the army emerge in the square. He sits behind the shadow with vengeance in his eyes and listens to the thunderbolt, rolling in the sky; he clenches his fist and bang hard on the table, what is going on in his head only the submarine in the ocean can tell. He paced around the table covering the distance in his office and stared out the window and watch the army parading in the square. Something is about to happen and just as I thought of it the Villigers emerge in the square with sticks and stones sling and drill and start to sing the orthodox hymn. He did not like the feel of this and so he reaches for his phone but there was no dial tone. The crowd enlarged and people gather from abroad and join in hymn and the military began to sing. All the communication was down, and the army start marching around, the villagers and the army stormed the place and start breaking up the table. They took down all the portraits of him from the wall and burn them in the square and dragged him to the table and sever several blows to his head until he drops dead. They stormed the cabinet office and picked out the defiant ones and hanged them in the square, then went on the air and declared victory over there. In less than an hour a new president was born, and a military contingency was formed. He announced the end of the war and return of its neighbor's territory and apologize for their misery. He stood on stage in the square and many people gathered from far and near, he presents an electrifying speech of how the deceased raped the street and now the people can celebrate in the street and show how they overcome the beast. The general lament for a while and then he broke down and cry. He said his troops will return home and the prisoners of war will be flown home. He vows to do everything in his power to build back their country and restore democracy. The villagers began to shout, and the universe joins in to celebrate the new rhythm. The people packed the street and salute the new president and military leader. And so, an old era has ended with tyrant and his cronies' bodies lying on the ground and the whole country start marching around; they set fire to it and sprinkle the ash into the pit. History was made again, and the shackles were broken off their feet and they celebrate all night till broad day light in the square.
