Behind the Curve

The accusation has been made, Once or twice, maybe more. That I'm behind in today's technology, So I've been there before. Being 'old-school' in some ways, Can be a burden that one bares. Though my beliefs don't negate progress, But then, who the hell really cares? Admittedly, there are times, I'd Rather repair instead of replace. No matter the expense or labor, The effort has value, in any case. Now granted, my style in clothing, May force a call to the 'fashion police'. But those are rarely warranted, and That debate continues with my niece. So as we leap ahead with our inventiveness, The pace can often leave some behind. And that becomes a cause for concern, As so much is redefined. Because this journey leaves little time, For a pause or some needed reflect. While heads are left spinning or rolling, With more change to inject. Realizing that catching-up to this movement, Must be met without excuse. When an open and active mind is used, With no privilege or abuse. What is known returns some faith, For us to learn and accelerate. Whereby we can walk right along with Today, and get ahead of tomorrows fate.
