Another workday at the community college I taste the day as it unrolls Students, professors walking around Equations on a board Dull day Bu suddenly - a flash of poetry on the internet enlightens! Words are so powerful If carefully wrought Life can kick on down But poetry can lift one into new realms of thinking New dawns, new loves Poetry - peace - energy - joy!

Thank you for commenting on my poem. I really like this piece, but I can't understand one of your concluding points. How did poetry (in your poem) bring energy? If it was from the "flash" and your mind was set aflame with ideas, how did it bring peace? I am sorry to ask questions if it is impossible for you to respond to your own work. Grace

Peace, energy and joy can all be part of a livley mind. I was contrasting the drabness of the day with the exaltation which new ideas bring. Hope you find my answer helpful in understanding this poem Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Enjoyed reading your creative work..Yes, just the right poem can lighten up one's day..Thanks for the kind review of my work..I did do embroidery a good bit at one time in my life..I have some pieces started that I need to finish...I have arthritis that is painful and doing the embroidery irritates it..Sara
