Before Retiring

Goosebumps rise along my legs. The sun belies the chilly breeze. The summer sun is slowly setting. I hear the droning of the bees. Peaceful and serene , this night. Curled up to watch the setting sun. Colours start to paint the sky. No night more lovely than this one. Leaves gently bouncing in playful sway. A glorious evening is this. I am so thankful for all I have. For nature's beauty... and your kiss. Nights like this are meant to be shared. No words need to be said. We watch the night sky darkening before retiring to our bed.

Another fine rhyming poem Francine. This was submitted at the time I was taking a break from viewing the works on this site.
