Before Ancient Times

No script belonging one’s civilization no history anyone can recall, only the enduring solid stone blocks someone created to form this ancient wall. A relic unknowingly left to the woodland undergrowth and those that measure nature’s time. © Harry J Horsman 2020

After I finished my studies I was going to become an archaeologist, as it has always fascinated me, but someone better, and more loving came into my life after 20 years (we used to go out, and then broke up married someone else and finally both got divorced and met up by accident nearly 21 years later. My wonderful Husband Elias. A beautiful poem Harry my friend. Hugs and blessings. I see I have commented, but this poem needed another comment. Jennifer.

I am a big fan of old stone structures, and stand and think the same wonderings. How fascinating it would be to be able to see those times in real time. Enjoyed reading, Best, SuZ

Many things left to the imagination; the curious poet enlivens such things!

Hello Harry … I often think about how life was so long ago when spending every day searching for food and fending off rivals. Certainly a poem to show that nature will reclaim - thank you Harry - Lindsay

I would have loved to have studied archaeology, so much so that I used to speak to Ricky about it - he was 8 years old in Grade 2 and they were playing hangman on the blackboard with the teacher - Ricky decidied to put Archeologist, not even the teacher got it, and she told me when i collected Ricky after school - Ancient buildings, ancient relics, ancient skeletons all fascinate me - I absolutely love this wonderful poem Harry Hugs and blessings Jennifer.

In Malta we have some temples of Neolithic times. One of them even sows the sun rising during an equinox. Lovely poem. ~~
