Bedtime Story

Dear sweet child, it's time for bed I'll tell you a story, kiss your sweet head Lay down with your blanket, your night light is lit And you'll fall asleep, as you listen to it Far off in a land, where nobody goes Peaches and Apples, and the strawberry grows Streams are all full, of most colorful fish Lakes full of ice cream, eat all you wish You'll wake in the morning, to a wondrous sunrise Hear the sweet songbird, in the air as it flies Run all day long, with a kite on a string See a pond full of Swans, what a beautiful thing Up in the trees, a Squirrel and a Dove So close together, I think they're in Love A Cat and a Mouse, at run in a field The Mouse chases the Cat, Now, that can't be real The Moon now is rising, now it's time for sleep Close your sweet eyes child, In, your dreams will soon creep Until tomorrow, when it's bedtime again Another story, I'll tell you I know how it ends

Surely this lucky child had wonderful dreams filled with magical images. Always hated it when the bedtime stories ended, so it's nice that you promised to continue it. I'm sure your child was grateful. Nice work, Richard! Love, Carolyn
