Beauty is truth and truth is beautiful Veracity is beauteousness and prettiness Truth smiles when she beholds her face in verity In her face is colour of eternity revealed Truth that is beautiful attracts and is charmingly lovely In her handsome face is a window into infinity Through which the curious onlookers can see God’s master pieces That is what I yearn for in my surroundings, my Lord I yearn for things truthfully beautiful with beauty derived from them Beauty that asks for nothing beyond itself Beauty whose praise is not part of it I hunger for a beauty that is an ecstasy, a form of ingenuity A beauty where there is nothing to be said about it
