Beauty In the Bend
I have gathered myself here today
Like the petals of a dogwood flower in May
Everyone's presence plays a vital role
In the beauty of the blossom that occurs
When Joining a soul to a soul
They say that at each base of a rainbow
There sits a pot of sparkling gold
And that the oldest trick in the book
Never dies nor grows old...
You see the foolish scramble in every direction
Making circles as they search for the end
Leaving the wise to reap the riches
From the beauty in the bend
