Beauty

The old saying couldn’t be right. Not in her case. Her beauty was more than skin deep. Had to be. Then I got to know her— exterior was a sham. All within left no doubt. The old saying got it right. Beauty is out of sight.

An insightful write, no doubt. As free verse go, even under my forever learning eyes, this a very good one. Keep coming up with them, Paul. You do us a favor. Kim :)

Kim, you're probably being too kind, but don't I love it! Thank you for your kind, encouraging words. God bless!

Whatever form it is, I think your write is awesome. So much meaning in your words, technicalities don't matter when the heart is speaking.

Casarah, I treasure your kind, thoughtful words. Please know of my gratitude, especially since the poem was my first try at free verse. You and Jan give me hope. Thank you.

Beautifully penned Paul - we need to look past the pretty shell - true beauty shines from within and can never fade. ts not really a form I am familiar with - i can never be certain what I pen as free verse really is! There are a couple of recent blogs on the subject - maybe they will be worth a read:-) Hugs jan xx

I just write for me Paul - I am sure I have posted stuff under the wrong form and i know I struggle with certain forms - it is a steep learning curve but the most important thing is we have fun and have an avenue to express ourselves - I know I would never have got through the last year especially without having started to write poetry - so out of my husband's cancer something magical has come out of it and I have a hobby i adore:-) Hugs Jan xx
