Beacon
Why do I hold her so tight
Legs wrappped, arms just so
Kissing her in the middle of the night
Her soft breathing, rhythms fire
A place, I need her warmth
Strength, warding off the lonely
Past crowds in, bringing tears
but I hold her tight
I won't leave this place
Because here I'm safe
Peace of her sleep is mine
I borrow it slipping into her world
Her safe sleeping world
I do not wish to sleep
To while away the darkness
Her body is my beacon
I'm running from the storm
To the wrapped legs and arms just so
