Beach Vacation
The thick salty air surrounded my nose
Sending happy shivers up my spine as
I wedged the soft, hot sand between my toes.
I starts running to the water, which has
Many memories from past childhood
Vacations. Running to cool off my feet.
Standing here, looking at all the driftwood
Covering the sand in the way a sheet
Would. Wondering where the driftwood came from.
Snapping back to reality as I
Begin to feel both feet going numb.
I relieve my numb feet as I go lie
In the sand, relaxing in the summer
Breeze, soaking in the vacation wonder.
