Be Quiet
Silence
in the clank of the button
on my blue jeans
tumbling in the dryer
Silence
in the ceaseless yapping
of the dog locked outside
next door
Silence
in the booming stereo
from the truck parked
out front
Deafening cacophony
in the silence
from you
