Be Better
Be Better
Hey it’s me, I’m on my way
Happy and proud, ready for the day
*Give Mumma a hug* , a kiss to My wife
not knowing this was it, the end of my life
forever a son but grown to another
A husband, a father, a son and a brother
you will always need your Mum no matter how old you are
I needed my Mumma when they went to far
I cried, I begged, I pleaded to stay
they didn’t care, it was just their day
I did no harm, I begged for mercy
the men who should protect me played bloody dirty
it was not my time, I’m angry and sad
because this is how it is, YES it is always This bad
for me, my neighbour, my brother, my son
they don’t care with a uniform and gun
who do we run too? to help us feel safe?
we are not your target, we are not your ing bait
its frustrating because others don’t understand
Where do you turn to without a helping hand
this silent war that we are up against.
try explain that to your babies what they have to face
you racists, give us a voice
Making him leave was never your choice
something better change for all to see
stop these ers, we our one family
what’s left Is just an aching void
my brother I love you the great George Floyd
