Bathed In Light

The Lady of darkness shares her silver charms Each night she leads me gently to my sleep And bids me rest safely in her arms. The Sun has sunk below the dusky balms As in the lunar sky stars gently weep The Lady of darkness shares her silver charms There is a place to be where nothing harms And from her love divine my soul can reap And bids me rest safely in her arms. I care not for the world of false alarms Where truth is sold for loving passions cheap The Lady of darkness shares her silver charms Yet bathed in light my spirit slowly calms I feel lunar love o’er me softly creep And bids me rest safely in her arms. My eyes behold her face and touch her palm When pathways home are long and very steep The Lady of darkness shares her silver charms And bids me rest safely in her arms.
