I walk on the deserted beach listening to the ocean song; the breeze holds my hand. Is this where I belong? I leave my footprints in the sand feeling the grains between my toes. Is it too late to dream, I ask. Only God knows! --------------------------------------- Premiere Contest No. 7 by Skat A

Everyday is a dream come true. You have simply arrived Paul. Destination HERE & now; how shall all your gifts be honed, harvested, shared, and passé (passed on) to those that will need to know what you have learned here. We think dreams have stopped. No! You finally just got there. Ha! There is great beauty in simplicity and this poem achieves that. It demonstrates elegance in pointed choice of words, in stress of syllable, in simplicity of rhyme. A little treasure.

Gee... "Their" work NOT "there" work! I hate Dragon. I'd be super wealthy if I'd write a program that could discriminate the correct homophone! :-D

Can hardly be called rambling Paul. Artists talking about there work receive that great privledge to learn from each other. This is the idea of the blog if it were used as such. I love the simplicity packed with all the elegance. Keep on doing this! Do you get to go in your community to read aloud? I suggest you look in to that.

Thank you, Edlynn. I feel encouraged and honored by your insightful feedback. That's exactly how I try to express my poetry...mostly in simple words, usually in rhyme, intending to please the mind and soul, so the reader won't lose concentration due to complicated reasoning or presentation. I prefer short to long poems. Poetry must never be burdensome; it has to please, give joy, make the heart flutter. When I posted an online book on Amazon, I made it clear that my poetry was for those who want enjoyment based on simplicity! Thank you for listening to my rambling:) ~ Regards // paul

The swish of the waves rippling up the shore, i can feel the sense of calm this walk would provide. Wish i was there now! Lovely work as always Paul. Warm regards, Laura.

Paul, metaphorical verse 1 but very nice reflecting, and the second verse more reality striking, challenging... I like the ending marks it suits well the message you want to convey!~Olive Eloisa =`)
