Barack Hussein Obama

Barack Hussein Obama would surely shake hands with the Dalai Lama, the pope and Billy Graham - because now is the time to rid the world of hate crime! He respects the constitution and understands what our forefathers meant by, "We the People", but like a politician he stays true 'long as it's convenient!

*Claps* Thank you...once again, Timothy. I had high hope for this one based on the title and it didn't disappoint!!! In the end it's all vanity as Solomon says and most of all, money. There will never be a Perfect president (Although Lincoln and Reagan were pretty darn close.) but I thought we'd at least have the sense to not vote for a 2nd term...but, whatever. Great poem as usual! ;)

Yes... I believe he himself was greatly surprised! I don't believe voting does all that much, honestly... in many states the voting is rigged so you don't feel all that inspired to vote (especially when the other candidate wasn't all that promising either). But I supposed I'm being very pessimistic here, no? Glad we have similar views!

I take it you are not a Obama fan.

... is it that obvious? Well I just find he's a very hypocritical person. You can't claim to agree with every religion and/or belief there is in fear of causing discrimination... it just isn't possible. And like you said in Quieter Voice, he has a strong, likable, "commanding" voice... but it doesn't mean that what he says is wise.

Well said Tim, I'm afraid they are all the same though, I reg write into a newspaper and do battle with another of opposing views, we have to keep reminding politicians we're there watching them lol. Take care, Richard

Good point! Never out of the public's view (they have to go to incredible lengths to be secretive about anything, really).

I like your theme and bold statement. I think we could go back several president's and insert their names in the title... Clinton (I did not have sex with that woman)...Nixon (Watergate)...The Kennedy's (Marilyn Monroe, Mary Jo Kopechne)...so many of them clouded with suspicion... Great creativity

Keen eye on the hypocrisy, Karen! I know Clinton's personal eye was questionable, but in all honesty I thought he was a good president. At least he didn't gasoline to the flames in hopes of putting it out! Thanks for your insightful comment! :)

The reign of Obama isn't even half over... (painful reminder Nette... ha ha). Not that I really think our next one will be so much better... *sigh*... maybe I should stop with the pessimism, eh?

nice. As I said politics is not my line. So I prefer to be blind and deaf to them. This poem is nice.

Politics isn't me either... though as of late it's been on my mind a lot. I find it hard to ignore in the midst of so much hypocrisy and bloodshed...

Never a perfect Government or President--- all political game players as you say. Clever read. Isn't it memorial day today in the USA. If so, enjoy....

Yes it is... I will be posting my memorial poem tonight. Obama seems (to me anyhow) one of the most blatantly hypocritical presidents though... thanks for reading!

Thanks for the insightful comment, Judy! The only congressman I was rooting for, in completely honesty, was Ron Paul... but that never ended up happening...
