Balancing
I'm standing on the ledge of life
tippy toed, but seeing light
I'm looking left where all is sweet
wonderful, sunny and bright
up you stroll my dear sweetheart,
hurtful grin within your eyes
what you wearing, it looks real bad
turn right with deepest sighs
I see the dark, dank waters beyond
my smile forms a saddened frown
the critic you often utter to me
could one day make me drown
