Backroads
Its Friday night and we just got a tank of gas and some cold beer
As we all pile up Kenny Chesney’s cranked up for the whole for the whole world to hear.
We cruise through town with our windows rolled down, ain’t a damn worry in sight,
And it’s times like this that I’ll look back and miss, but for now everything’s alright
10 miles an hour never sounded so fun, until you mix in all your friends and booze,
In the back of my mind I dread that Monday morning sun, but right now, I can’t lose.
Yeah, Backroads and beer are what I do best
Beer drinkin’s all there is, to hell with the rest
Backroads are what i know like the back of my hand
If you aint from the country theres no way you’ll understand.
Yeah some people like the city life but everything we need we got, right here, with backroads and beer.
Garth Brooks never sounded so good as we lay on the hood of that beat up old chevy truck,
As the night drags on we take that truck, have some fun, as we race through the mud gettin stuck.
We talk about women, the ones we want, have, and had, and try to pick up some along the way
Yeah a couple days from now it’ll be back to business, but right now, it’s time to play
