Back Then
Back then I was so foolish lost and lonely broken empty childhood dreams adult fantasies melting all together.
Misspent youth confounded days adult hood came from out of nowhere and knocked me off my feet.
Back then I stood there lonely staring up into a featureless void wondering where my life went wrong not knowing how to fix it. Mired in 18 no direction so confused so unfocused out of touch I really had no idea what to do.
Back then my reality was such I bemoaned my every thought and hoped each breath I took drew me closer to my end.
As I sit reflecting on my youth misspent hapless sometimes cruel sometimes harsh, I praise God he brought me through to where I am right now.
No longer broken lonely empty; no longer lost without direction I stand happily rooted firmly here in my new life.
(you are never so broken that God can't fix you)
