Back Here Both Could See
Back Here Both Could See
Rocking chair is still in our living room
Where once had sat a bride and groom
Who now are no longer are in the chair
While combing or brushing their hair.
Was several years ago since last seen
Much to me they both always did mean
Are with God and not here anymore
Their rocking chair we still do adore.
In my mind chair continues to rock
Seems like it does it around the clock
For them both I still silently do care
Now am so sad and deep in despair.
They are resting in heaven up there
And I started saying one more prayer
How life much better here would be
If both were here and them could see.
