Babyface
Eyes stare at me
In a blank pique,
Crying bout frees
A tantrum streak.
You want to sleep
Dear sleepy eyes,
Discomfort peeps
Through weary cries.
You cry and strain
As tears come out,
You say it plain
In breathless shouts.
You mouth sighs pout
In cranky voice,
What's it about:
The swaddle poise?
I pick you up
Embrace you child,
My arms now cup
Your crying wild.
Sing lullabies
To calm you down,
Now by and by
Eyes close sans frown.
A catnap brief
Can bring good cheer,
We suffer grief
For baby dear.
Four adults here
Spend time to care
For you it's clear
As tantrums wear.
Baby tears wet
As cranky shows,
We seem to fret
For all we know.
Babyface moods
Amplify blast,
A precious good
Makes love outlast.
Baby now styles
A bubbly fest,
Baby's sweet smile
Now spreads fond zest.
