Baby
The pink of a rosebud,
the sky’s delicate blue,
softness of a kitten’s fur,
freshness of morning dew.
Warmth of winter’s firelight,
the laughter of the sea,
golden glow of sunlight’s ray,
song sparrow’s sweet melody.
Promise of the rainbow,
the future’s treasured dream,
fragrance of spring’s blossom,
beauty of woodland’s stream.
All the earth’s sweet joys
and heaven’s mystery too,
embraced in this new life
God has given to you.
