Splattered words are thrown about as the cold ground grips the root. Skin of earth is pierced again as The cold ground grips the root. Home we knew as life dissolves as The cold ground grips the root. Last breath that holds the sky as The cold ground grips the root grass bleeds out to crimson red as the cold ground grips the root. Another drop without the fall as The cold ground grips the root. None will hear the shot fired. as The cold ground grips the root The cold ground shall release when the grip of root is free to feed the hungry world God will sleep again and all will be as though it never was

A fascinating write, fascinating pattern, and a meaningful conclusion. I really enjoyed your poem a lot, Vernon, especially "the cold ground shall release when the grip of root is free to feed the hungry world God will sleep again." Exquisite!
