For Unseeking Seeker's  Awaking From Stupor Poetry Contest

Unseeking Seeker’s Line of inquiry:  “it’s not desire per say but the clinging ~ that stifles soul and stops heart from singing  enlivening silence sets our soul free ~ vibrant in the now, joyful and carefree” Awaken and of Sweet Joy Partake Oh, it saddens me to see when dear friends or kin of mine are in despair. They act so grumpy. Sometimes it seems to be a stupor they are in, and I wish I knew the way to repair those who fall into depression, feeling life is so unfair. Sometimes I too can let things get me down. At times such as these, I try to shake myself awake. It does a soul no good to fret or frown. When a “woe is me” comes on, I must put on my brake. In moments’ many silences of sweet joy I must partake.

a piece to make one think, which i presume is what he's after..not so much grumpiness with me, but i've certainly battled depression, though it's mainly tied in with my physical circumstances..good luck in the contest

i can certainly understand THAT, Charlotte. I have always been happy, but after cancer and the doctor giving me that horrific drug prolia, I have been battling pain and discomfort for the past eight years. Sometimes it can almost break a person!

It seems at times the world is in a stupor. In this world of no connection to reality, it's nice to try to fix something. This poem is a good start. It's all attitude.

Nice entry for the contest, Andrea. It's good to have a plan as to how we'll handle the times we go down. It's not seeing any way to change the feelings we're having from hopeless into acceptance that's the challenge. Things are what they are, we have the ability to change the way we feel about our circumstances, that is our way out of depression. Quieten our inter rage and think of something that will help, open the door so we can leave the depressive state behind. I enjoyed your poem Bill

For me when I feel down, I focus on making others feel happy. When I stop persevering on my circumstances the world gains clarity. I like this thought provoking piece. Good luck in the contest. P.s. I didn’t receive your soup mail.

I know this feeling so well, sometimes we cant do nothing but just let our loved ones know they are not alone and simply just being a listener helps too. And i know how it feels to be grumpy hah. I can be quite grumpy at times. Pleasure reading your work always dear andrea. Best wishes for the contest

Yes. It's easy, especially in Winter, to feel down - but I seek God and find joy in the presence of Him who knows me so well He knows just exactly what I need, how to free me from despair and encourage me with a light that silences the dark. This is beautifully done - I love it and you, God bless you always, my kind friend. Love, Gina

Oh my, what a beautiful and soulful take for the contest, dear Andrea.. I absolutely love how you've described when gloominess crawls on hearts and everything seems so unfair.. We may feel depressed and let down in many situations but, the essence of life is in understanding that we can't force anything and frowning about certain things will only bring us emotional misery..We should take a moment and analyse those lil joys that silence brings..A wise and introspective poem, which I loved reading
