Avoiding the Storm
The chasing storm behind
Forever trying to sieze me
Trying to swamp me
Devour me
My fragile mind it's portal
When strong I can escape the tempest
When weak, lethargy sets in
Easily caught
I become engulfed by its mass
Demanding merciless mass
So I run
Constantly running
With recognition of being
forever only paces beyond
Chasing, racing, enticing me
In darkest hours
I purposefully slow
Encouraging the hurricane
Come sweep me away
Forever
Have me, I can run no more
Escape always comes
Out I step, again
Into the semi light
Though always concious of it's presence
I keep on running
I will forever run
