Autumn's Breath

The archway formed of trees was green It was shade from summer's heat Splendid archway cover invites Come love to this retreat Now the archway hangs in color Rust, orange, yellow, brown Drawing home the inhabitants Come here from bustling town As filtered sunlight dances there Leaves aglow bonce with glee Walk the road slowly in Autumn Stressed busy life now flee Autumn arches call come my love Spend some time in peace~ rest Let the burgundy surround now 'Pon autumn's road be blessed Sponsor: Gail Angel Doyle Contest: Autumn's Breath Written August 20, 2013

You got me in the mood for autumn with this write my friend! And that always leads to the excitement of Halloween! I know you don't get into Halloween much, so please bear with me during the next couple of months starting at the end of August! I will write other things this time, it won't all be Halloween, so I'll try and sprinkle in other poems for your enjoyment as well as my fiendishly great writes! Well this poem here you have written is one of my favorites of yours, such Awesome Work!!

It certainly has felt like fall where I live lately, so I can relate with your beautiful words. Good one, Sara!

How I love this poem having lived in Maine with motley autumn leaves, raking them, playing jumping chidren hiding in leaves, the scent of smelling burn. Yes they come from New York and afar to see the glee of autumn leaves. Nicely done muse of autumn skies come round to color the world before the cold winds of winter. Uplifting, you uplifted me: lifting each other the lightness of our thoughts meld as one. Robert Henry Poulin
