Autumn Nor'Easter
The day smells fresh after the Autumn Nor'easter,
Fall in New England, nothing can beat her,
Lots of green leaves still clinging to the trees,
Others muted in yellow and oranges to see.
The air is still warm, though there's snow on the ground,
But there's lots of green grass still to be found.
A spectacular sunset fills the sky,
Crimson in color as the sun dies.
Sidewalks and driveways rustle with brown leaves,
Rakes and leaf blowers leaving piles to see,
Children jump from high into the leaves,
The rest being blown away by gusty breezes.
Not an average Autumn day has this been,
Ruled by snow and winter wind,
An array of colors mingle in the snow,
Fall in New England, can't wait till tomorrow.
