Autumn Colors

What makes a leaf green is the chloroplast. Since they expire in the autumn, they don’t last. In September, the green disappears rather fast. In that season, we see a magnificent color blast. Red, gold, and brown are among the pretty hues. For the fall season, those trees are paying their dues. Robert Pettit For Russell Sivey’s Autumn Colors contest Written August 12, 2012
