Autumn

By Laura D October 12, 2016 Its just shame and paranoia A line that might destroy ya Its self-abuse that's gauranteed The trap that lies inside the greed Beneath the smile and baggy eyes A torrid nighttime lulliby To make the wages that we keep It seeps through pores as angels sleep This face is such a lonely place Remember who they laid to waste The innocence lost in the breeze Where insecurities take the rest of me Lay me to bed, my daring, tragic muse Too brave to live where currency is used And as the city lights are lost inside the Autumn sky Maybe i'll never have to die; or find a single reason why
