Autumn

Listen to poem:
Jack Frost whispering he is on his way. The wind tests the leaves, will they fall or stay. Two robins gossip in a far off tree. A hint of golden brown on the leaves, on the trees. Autumn announcing it's arrival on the scene with the falling of a single leaf off an old oak tree. This simple monologue, of whats to come. Its just the turning of a leaf in the great book of life. Gentle rain starts to chitter chatter down on a old tin roof. The sun leaves over the horizon without even a nod. Jack Frost cheers, and spreads his coat of white. and the leaves start to fall rustic coloured rain. Im talking about autumns arrival on the scene. comp entry 15/09/2016
