A very inspiring Haiku my friend. Those splashing colors send a chill notice to me. For a beautiful Autumn precedes a harsh and miserably cold winter. My Native American blood senses that and is chilled. Great writing my friend! A7

Thanks Robert. A melancholy time of year, but those reds and golds console us. All the best to you and your, Viv

Thanks, Kim, Not sure if it's modern, as I don't know what an old one looks like, but Autumn is timeless anyway, so I think I got away with it. Love 'n hugs, Viv x

Thanks, Connie, it's nice of Mother nature to give us one final display and a bow before packing up for the winter- makes everything one looks at a little more special and precious. Viv x

Hi Viv! A lovely inspiring picture and an equally beautiful poem with a great ending. ~ The start of autumn to me means plastering, painting and a list of odd jobs which got neglected during the summer months!! All the best. // paul

Tislijiet, Paul, thanks for dropping by. As a fellow decorator and wallpaper stripper (this morning) you have my full support- why waste a good summer on jobs around the house? Besides, I find no poetic inspiration from preparing a wall for painting. A glass of wine in the sun, however........ Regards, Viv
