Atonement

And who are we, ignoble birthed, knowing as we must, all elements of earth laid down in divine trust berthed in perfect form- stupendous souls made from dust. Finger of God made so much of it Divine capsule of design Then the human being lost his mind, lost the way for humankind. Blood sacrifice cries from the ground Stones will cry out if they must What would they say if they could sound out hope of humane recreation? Lust for life is never past the point of no return to final destination. Atonement is a living law, on its own. It is impossible to bleed life from a stone. Aqua Marine. 02/04/2024.

A lot to contemplate. Great write. We've wondered so far from God's original plan. So sad... the state of affairs now. Thanks for the visit to my page.

I will keep visiting... I always enjoyed reading your poems. And you are down to earth, and approachable, which gave me comfort... We can still find a way to support God's plans... He also needs our love... Gets hurt when we abandon him. I try my best to give him the attention he wants. He certainly reminds me in so many ways that he's "right there.."

Yes, I think humanity has lost its collective mind. Still there are glimmers of Hope interspersed. I hang onto that hope. A thought provoking piece.

Powerful poetry, Aqua. Thanks for sharing this truth with us. Your poem flowed well and was an inspiring way to share your thoughts on atonement. I'll be following your poetry to get to know you and your thoughts. I hope you'll follow mine as well. A poet friend to be, Bill p.s. The commenter below, Sara Etgen Baker is my wife. I would like that, Bill. I'm sometimes slow with my poems, can do up to 3 drafts or more, it takes time to get my thoughts together. I've lost so many poems through forgetting how I want to say something. And life is busy, making ends meet, and distractions. I will enjoy following your poetry. Poets need to form healthy connections, especially where sensitive subjects come under the spotlight. I would love to have you follow and comment here... I love Sara's poetry. She is open hearted, and humble... . Blessings to both of you and Warm Hugs...

Such a deep, thought provoking poem! These words struck a chord with me: Then the human being lost his mind, lost the way for humankind. I especially liked Stones will cry out if they must What would they say if they could sound out hope Grateful for your words this evening, blessings, Sara

Dearest Sara, I am grateful for your insightful thoughts... That God could create a heart that bleeds words, from the elements of dust, is a miracle. We take the place of inanimate, mute objects, with the gift of a living voice. Words are the seen movements, of unseen thoughts, our spirit's wind breezing through fields of wheat... Blessings to you, and Bill. Big Hugs.
