At The Footbridge At the footbridge here in sight, although it's now the dark of night, within this time of dimmest light what's there beyond is such a fright. That place unknown in some way might be worse than where I stand tonight. So is it wrong or is it right to cross this footbridge to that site? This tough dilemma does invite an urge for me to just sit tight. I know to stay will not ignite my inner fear; but then in spite of dread beyond this footbridge plight, new ventures lie which might incite a turn in life that may delight... So off I step...misgivings, fight. Sandra M. Haight ~3rd Place~ Contest: I Got Zero, Nothing, Nada- 2 Sponsor: Broken Wings Judged: 08/03/2016 ~NA~ Premiere Contest: At The Footbridge Sponsor: Julia Ward Judged: 07/26/2016

Thank you, BL, for your supportive comment and 7 rating. However, it only looks like I had a trophy win, but if you read Julia's blog, and the updated winner's list, you will see that Poetry Soup made a mistake on contest results, and my poem actually did not place!!! :( Sandra
