All my life, I have been chasing a rainbow,
for that treasure just beyond the next meadow.
But along the journey, I have found happiness,
from family and friends, oh sweet the tenderness.
And in that pot at the end, I do not need gold,
all I need is tranquility, peace and memories to hold.
Gold and money cannot buy me a life happy,
it is things I do each day that will bring me eternity.
Oh sure, there will be days of tears and days of rain,
twists, turns and mountains to climb again and again.
But at the end, in my final breath, I will say,
I found my rainbow each and every single day.
