Astronaut On Earth-

He smiles and for A split second the universe Stops and I can’t breathe Falling through the sky I wait to hit the clouds They’ve frozen I’m surrounded by the birds that fly from his Lips Bluejays Red backed sea hawks I carry the oceans in my eyes and he’s Got the world in his Blue and green Collide. Slide past each other, Spin off into opposite sides Of our galaxy but somehow We’re still holding hands But darling, They’re on fire. Lip between my teeth he Still smiles The universe This moment It shatters Brings the mirrors on our heads but Who said broken mirrors are bad Luck because I can see him repeated Re- Re- Re- Repeated In my eyes, the shards he shines He shines. Tastes like Mocha His skin, his mouth. Still stuck, the world floating I’m his sea he’s my Jungle. Floating The stars flicker beneath our Fingertips.
