Assumptions
Give me a second reason not to love you
All the things you said are almost not true
I’m sorry, but I’d rather drift away someday
It’s like you don’t mind me being led astray
The winter wind is blowing…
California’s sun kept glowing…
How does this amaze me so?
There’s so much things you don’t know…
Too much things you don’t know…
It’s not too late for forgiveness
It’s not too late
It’s not too late
After the clock strikes eight…
Assumptions caught like bait
I thought you were aware of the pain
Assumptions douse me with bitter rain
Let the doubts fade into happiness
Atmosphere’s as cold as the abyss
Come catch me as I fall away…
Come snatch me or I’ll be a dismal day…
Don’t say it doesn’t matter anymore
Don’t scare me to death, unfeeling floor
You are a stranger in this land
Know I understand where you stand
But not enough to make it through
The dark and its shade of blue
The colorful leaves of autumn are vanishing…
The aftermath of our past lives are diminishing…
How did the truth set me free? Where do I flee?
There’s so much things I’ve missed out on frankly
It’s not too late for forgiveness
It’s not too late
It’s not too late
After the clock strikes eight…
Assumptions caught like bait
I thought you were aware of the pain
Assumptions douse me with bitter rain
Let the doubts fade into happiness
Atmosphere’s as cold as the abyss
Come catch me as I fall away…
Come snatch me or I’ll be a dismal day…
Don’t say it doesn’t matter anymore
Don’t scare me to death, unfeeling floor
You are a stranger in this land
Know I understand where you stand
But not enough to make it through
The dark and its shade of blue
Time and time again,
I don’t have time
Time and time again,
I’ll make the time
What about you? Where are you?
Will you keep your promises true?
Who knew you deserted me
I’ve figured that out recently
No need to fret
No time for dread
Very soon, I bet
Karma will be your bed
Karma will take its toll – it will rule!
All the things you said has been told
Karma will make you look like a fool
You once made me content with hope’s hold
I thought you were aware of the pain
Assumptions douse me like bitter rain
Let the doubts fade into happiness
Atmosphere’s as cold as the abyss
I thought you were aware that I’m insane
Assumptions drown you like a hurricane
Let the disputes alter into gladness
Your endless fears reduce me to madness
Give me a second reason to trust you
Your actions meant you left me in the dark’s blue
Now, hope is on the other line,
Which means I’ll be doing fine
What about you? Haven’t you a clue?
Isn’t it about time you get out of your darkness and its blues?
Isn’t it about time you erase the assumptions of our past rues?
