Ashes To Ashes

Ashes to ashes Dust to dust Is this all that remains Of us There is beauty in ashes For they remember the burn The passion that lit them So much did they learn It’s so easy in this world To keep looking inside But it’s only through loving others That the true gift resides Pray, praise, laugh, sing Hold hands that ached to be touched To turn your attention to the needs of others God’s reward to you will be much Humble yourself and prepare to serve Look for other’s pain So many forgotten and thrown away Find the one that needs to feel love and loose the heavy chains Look deep into eyes of the people you see Don’t pass by so quickly there may be a need Are they questioning, seeking or do their eyes plead You may be the one that God asks to intercede The joy of serving is becoming a lost art But the Father beckons us to come play a part Your reward will be great, your heart will soar And the day will come soon you will walk with the Lord

This is beautiful, Laurie! This overflows with the love of Christ, who gave His life for us. We should always treat others by His example and this lovely and heartfelt piece is a great example of this love. Awesome write! Thank you for your kind words, Laurie. Knowing my son sleeps in Christ has been a great comfort to me. (it has been 7yrs.). But you never forget. Loveudu too, Robin

'...look for other's pain,' ...those who have suffered have a sixth sense in spotting the suffering of others. A splendid piece with a most significant message! BRAVO Laurie! Best wishes, Keith
