Ashes of Love
In these ashes, where once love was made,
not much left, to sort, and save.
Once a fever raged within our hearts,
but time, and confusion have pierced every part.
Trials of deceit have now revealed,
hearts so devoured, leaving nothing to feel.
Divided by truth, and emotions of lust,
revealing temptations, and the ones you can trust.
Remnants still linger, trying to slip back in,
but honesty and compassion have been destroyed within.
Lies, and games, where no one wins,
an unfaithful heart, whittled by sin.
Nothing left to sacrifice or save,
lying in these ashes, where once love was made.
