As Time Slips By

Crystal winged hourglass flows muted gold sand as time turns red dawn to pink dusk once more; life’s tapestry fades as years so expand but love in the heart gives youth to restore when embraced with so much left to explore. Crystal winged hourglass portrays such fleeting finite life as time slips by depleting; with love reborn, awoken from sleeping so shall heavenly days be accreting - when sand flows no more - just joy, no weeping.

You somehow make your lines flow so seamlessly with such depth that hits the readers soul effortlessly, i sensed hope and faith through your last lines and i love how youv phrased every line in this. Especially “ Crystal winged hourglass portrays such fleeting“ sometimes, i wish i could pause time for a day, cus time jus keep fleeting. The last line is powerful. FAV

We had a red sunrise yesterday, but I did not see the sunset. Life is short, sometimes rushed and overcrowded, but it is so great to have some wonderful times speckled about in there. Thanks for sharing this one with us. I am wondering if it is for a contest. Reads like a great contender for a contest. If it is, way to go ...Sara K

What beautiful imagery, Christina. You have wrapped this lovely poem of hope in rainbow ribbons when joy will come in the morning after weeping. There is so much depth and spiritual truth expressed in your lines. Truly we carry this promise deep in our hearts. I love your last line - "when sand flows no more - just joy, no weeping." The hour glass is a great metaphor for the passage of time in our lives. If this is for a contest, best wishes for it is beautiful. Blessings to you!

Crystal winged: is such a clever description. There is so much in this poem and the imagery of the hourglass, Christina, that you capture. And the sweetness of finding love when there is the inevitable tumbling of life's grains through the narrow aperture of destiny. Like this a lot. Blessings (fav) Cx
